Culture

How we work.
Why it holds together.

Culture at CC&Co lives in the way we structure the work, the standards we hold ourselves to and the kind of people we want to build with.

What we believe

Great work requires great conditions.

The quality of the work follows the quality of the environment it is made in. When people have clarity about the goal, autonomy to make decisions and colleagues genuinely invested in the outcome, the work is better. We expect a lot, and we give a lot in responsibility, exposure and the satisfaction of doing work that matters.

Our values

Six principles we actually live by.

01

Clarity over cleverness

We make things clear so they actually work. Every strategy document, brief and design decision is tested against one question: does this make the work easier to use?

02

Real responsibility from day one

Everyone at CC&Co is expected to own their work, think strategically, communicate directly and make decisions. We hire for judgment.

03

Genuine curiosity

We work across a wide span of industries. That breadth requires a team genuinely curious about how industries work, how people decide and how communication systems hold up in the real world.

04

Integrated by design

Strategy, brand, digital and production are one system. The best work happens when the strategist and the designer are in the same conversation.

05

Built to last

Every deliverable is designed to be used by real people, in real conditions, and to hold up over time. Presentations are the start, never the finish.

06

Direct, with respect

We give honest feedback, say what we think and disagree when we need to, always in service of making the work better. The culture is direct without being political.

How we work

The structures that make the culture real.

Integrated teams

Strategists, designers, writers and developers work together from the start. This structural choice is what makes integrated work possible.

Bilingual by default

Most of our work is bilingual. French and English are built into the creative process from the first brief, never bolted on at the end.

Remote-first, studio-anchored

The team works across time zones. The Montréal studio is the anchor where the culture lives and the most complex work gets done.

Structured autonomy

Clear briefs, clear objectives and clear standards give people the context to make good decisions independently.

Learning as a practice

Client exposure, cross-discipline projects and access to senior thinking, with the expectation that everyone keeps learning.

Honest retrospectives

After every major project we look at what worked and what did not, and we improve before moving on.

Voices from the team

What working here actually feels like.

“The most striking thing about working at CC&Co was the level of trust. I was given real mandates, in client meetings, contributing to strategy sessions and managing deliverables that were actually going to market. That kind of responsibility, at that stage of a career, is rare. It changes how you think about the work.”
Hugo BeteluProject Manager Intern, CC&Co / Questology (2014) · Senior Communication Consultant, Paris
I learned a lot. It was rock’n’roll and cowboys sometimes, but it was unforgettable.
It was demanding work. We built big systems with limited resources, and when it worked, we were proud because the systems solved real problems.
CC&Co was a springboard. It gave me the coaching, pressure, and technical exposure that pushed me toward bigger systems.
CC&Co was a place where you learned by contributing for real, not by watching from the side.
